Creating an account with Mandriva is easy, and under a single registration allows access to all Mandriva official sites.

To create an account, login, and manage your account preferences, go to my.mandriva.com. Registration is free.

Click Register your account to register. Then you will be asked to fill in some fields (name, e-mail address, password, and language). An email confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address you specify.

Once registered, you can log in to all Mandriva sites by entering the email address you specified as an identifier on each site, then the password for your account.

Since your page my.mandriva.com , you can indicate your home address (useful when you make purchases online in the Mandriva Store. You can also access the services associated with your account, such as your activation codes and subscriptions in progress. To access your services, click the link in the sidebar to the right of the page.

The reference documentation about Mandriva

The Mandriva wiki, as its name indicates, is the online documentation for Mandriva. Similar to Wikipedia, it has all the information you need to adapt to your new system, and to better understand and help resolve any issues. Anyone can browse the articles and pages in this wiki, without having an account. People with an account may, however, create and edit articles in the wiki, and thus can help improve this documentation.

It give the possibility to everyone to browse through a web browser all the packages offered by Mandriva in the official repositories for the most recent versions. A Wiki functionality is available offering the possibility of writing a wiki page for the application or package in the Doc4.

Mandriva e-learning, training, and solutions

e-training Mandriva

Mandriva offers everyone a platform for learning and self-training online called e-training. It is designed for experienced beginners wishing to deepen their knowledge of Linux and system management with Mandriva Linux. Several chapters are available in french and english, covering basic Mandriva and word processing, to learning the console, the safety management system, creating an internal network between computers and for the establishment of a server on Mandriva. It is possible to gain LPI certifications; however, there is a charge through the Mandriva Store. It is only for the certifications that there is a charg.

Your ideas are important

Mandriva Ideas is a new website allowing everyone to offer ideas, suggestions and improvements to the Mandriva Linux distribution and all aspects of Mandriva. Each member has the ability to create new ideas, respond and comment on ideas already posted, and to expand on the ideas. Each member has a personal space to exchange private messages with other members, to be notified of changes or new ideas, and to have a favourite list of ideas.

Mandriva HCL - Computers Supported

Hardware Compatibility and computers

Mandriva HCL is a site that has been set up to identify all the computer models on which Mandriva was installed, and whether Mandriva works well on those computers or not. Each person having an account can send Mandriva details on its hardware configuration at the Welcome Wizard, the first installation. Each member may indicate the status of its operations and add a comment. This site also lists the computers they have certified and guaranteed.
