Assembly Romania
From Mandriva Community Wiki
Romanian User Community
The Romanian User Community Project, founded in 2004, aims to gather into one place the Mandriva enthusiasts in this country. We are a small community, slightly over one thousand registered members, but growing each day. We run a forum and information page, an ftp server where we try to offer as much Mandriva stuff as we can and we stay on IRC too to live-talk about Mandriva.

About me
My name is Patkós Csaba. I'm an Engineer in Automation and Computer Science and I'm working as an IT Engineer. I started using Mandriva back in 2000 or 2001, at the time of Mandrake 8.2. Since than it became my top distribution and with time I became one of the main maintainers of the Romanian forum and community site. Some consider me the unofficial leader of the Romanian community, but I think there is a team effort and we are at least 3-5 people who lead the community. They proposed me to represent us in this Assembly, I accepted ... and here we are.
