Components Status for Documentation

This table will help technical writers to follow the status of each component so they can know whether they are ready to:
- write the documentation
- take the screenshots
Please report any missing component notably for MCC. Also report tools that shouldn't need documentation.

Mandriva Control Center
The MMC is now composed of 8 elements. 'Mount Points' has been removed. It has been reorganized and divided in two sections: 'Network Sharing' and 'Local disk'.
Software Management
- The software install and uninstall tools have disappeared.
- They have been replaced by the Software Media Manager.
Hardware
- The shortcuts for Graphical Configuration have disappeared.
- New tool enabling to configure a fax server.
Network and Internet
- Several tools have disappeared:
- Reconfigure a network interface,
- Delete a network interface,
- Wireless connection,
- Alter Miscellaneous Internet Settings, and
- Monitor the Network connections.
- One tool added:
- Control and Configure network connections.
System
- One tool added: Select the authentication method
Network Sharing
- Several tools have been removed:
- Managing your Hard Drive Partition with DiskDrake,
- Managing Removable Devices,
- Importing Remote SMB Directories
- Allowing Users to share Folders
Local Disk
- The sections that have been removed from Mount Points and inserted here are:
- Managing your Hard Drive Partition with DiskDrake (now Create, delete and resize hard disk partitions),
- Allowing Users to share Folders (now Setting up sharing of your hard disk partitions),
- New sections added:
- Set where your "ATAPI-CDROM-DRIVE-50MAX" CD-ROM drive is mounted,
- Set where your "PLEXTOR CD-R PX-W124TS" CD/DVD burner is mounted,
- Set where your floppy drive is mounted
Security
- New tool added: Set up network interfaces failover and firewall replication.
Boot
- The Display manager chooser has been moved from System and added to this section.
