First Person Shooter (FPS)

• OpenArena (in contrib backports since 2007.0)
• AssaultCube (may be provided by a popular 3rd-party repository - or not).

• Return to castle Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory (free, but not open-source) Originally designed to be a multiplayer addon of Return to Castle Wolfenstein by Activision, this multiplayer game is actually offered for free by id software.

Simulation

• FlightGear A flight simulator. In contrib for years.
  • There are over 20,000 airports in the scenery set. Scenery includes all vmap0 lakes, rivers, roads, railroads, cities, towns, land cover, etc.
  • High number of aircrafts, from the 1903 Wright Flyer to the Airbus A320.
  • Interactive 3D cockpits.
  • Flight models can be laoded as plugins.
  • Accurate sky model, with correctly placed sun, moon, stars, etc.
  • Networking options.
