Power Saving Hardware Compatibility List

This is a list of hardware completely, partially or not supporting power saving features available on MandrivaLinux. If your computer does not support or partially supports suspension, please use cooker to report results and try the various available MandrivaKernel. You can also read the PowerSaving page which contains valuable information about how you can troubleshoot problems regarding power saving. See also the Hardware Compatibility List.

The following informations are valid for all models:

  • SATA disks need either a kernel with proper fixed (kernel-multimedia, kernel >= 2.6.17-4mdv2007.0) or disabling SATA in BIOS
  • NVidia cards need using NVidia AGP (option NvAGP 1 in xorg driver configuration)
  • keyboard reinitialisation can be achieved either through unloading/reloading keyboard kernel module, either through bind/unbind interface

For additional kernel-specific informations, please use the following template :
