Drakboot

Drakboot allows you to configure your boot configuration, be it Lilo or GRUB. Making changes to any of the settings in Drakboot requires Root privileges.
- To configure Mandriva to boot into the desktop without having to select a User or type a Password every time:
- Select Set up autologin to automatically to log in
- Select Yes, I want autologin with this [user,desktop]
- Select the Default user
- Select the Default desktop. Depending on the available desktop interface installed, choose KDE, Gnome, xFce, etc.
- Click Ok
- Reboot the system
- To configure Mandriva to prompt for a login:
- Select No, I do not want autologin
- Click Ok
- Reboot the system
- To configure Mandriva to boot directly into a Terminal:
- Uncheck Launch the graphical environment when your system starts
- Click Ok

To change back the settings to boot into the graphical environment instead of the Terminal, type

startxfrom the prompt. The system will reload into the desktop environment and allow users to go back to Drakconf and Drakboot.
Two other options can be passed to drakboot:
--boot : enable to configure boot loader --splash : enable to configure boot theme
