To bring, literally, the whole world of Mandriva together. This magazine is for all Mandriva users, around the world, to contribute what they'd like, or not. Internet Overview

What's going on in the forums these days? This can be interesting things from the international forums as well. Before we write this one, we're going to see if there's been feedback posted at the forum about previous issues (or current ideas for) of this magazine. See if there have been other interesting things posted at the forum, check the longest technically-oriented thread in Chat, etc. We are also going to note if there have been improvements, no matter how tiny, to the mandriva.com and forum.mandriva.com web sites. We are also going to check on if Mandriva during this time period has consulted with MLA representatives, and we are going to check on Mandriva's general communication and relationship with the rest of the world in general, on the internet.

Finally, a bit of news about Mandriva's Engineering Director

It seems Anne Nicolas, Mandriva's Engineering Director, has had a recent addition to her family, Arthur, who was born in September, according to a post she made on the English forum. According to her post:

"PS: As a personal point, I did my own "release" in september, a little boy called Arthur . He is already fond of RJ45 cable and keyboards. I'm pretty sure he will be soon a user of Gcompris on Mandriva Linux"

This is wonderful news, and we certainly wish Mother and Child well! :)

From our International Friends

This will be articles contributed by the International magazines, which will aid in bringing everyone together. These will be maybe an article they're contributing from their release, or, maybe, something they'd just like to contribute on their own. We certainly thank them for this! :-)

This section can go elsewhere in the magazine, possibly after the editorial, but this still remains to be determined.

Newbies' Corner

Explain about the different editions of Mandriva; One, Free, and Powerpack, and about their differences.

Also, some very basic how-tos; if someone who is new posts at the forum a question other than the regular "how do I install software"-type questions, write about it here.

Credits, Sources, et. al

Last page of the magazine. it should be stated that anyone can write for the magazine and that there is space for everyone. People can send e-mails to tell what they think of the magazine or about the distribution itself. There should also be on this page, a call for contributions and help. People must feel compelled to help and are encouraged to participate. Finally, credits, licences, and what programs and images were used. And sources! Let's not forget sources! :)
