- Unfortunately this page is not updated. We are still on 2.6.24 kernel for 2008.1! --nbrouard 11:09, 16 March 2009 (CET)
- Thanks for the update to 2009. The main problem on this Mandriva wiki is that people don't know how to use it, how to indent threads in the discussion page, no adequate templates (for colors and automatic indentations of replies) etc. And there are still unreadable ID which make comments hard to retype when missing --nbrouard 17:47, 17 March 2009 (CET)
- It is not really a SVN tree: but a collection of tar.bz2 files . Better than nothing but I was very happy to have a real SVN source tree of Mandriva kernels which doesn't exist elsewhere. --nbrouard 11:09, 16 March 2009 (CET)
- What do you mean about not being a SVN tree ? There is a tarball from upstream kernel and a directory with many patches --pterjan 10:56, 16 March 2009 (CET)
- The main advantage of SVN is the diff between source versions (like a wiki), otherwise a ftp server is enough for tarballs. Also, links to kernel.org have to be preferred for unmodified tarballs. Thus, as said, I thought that Mandriva was offering a real new service of Official as well as Mandriva patched kernel SVN sources tree (a lot of work I agree). --nbrouard 17:47, 17 March 2009 (CET)
