Won't this be duplicate of Projects/Bugs? I think the latter should be redirected here or be transformed into a bug portal (see eg: [1] example). tvignaud 09:23, 16 May 2007 (CEST)


[edit] Schematic

Following directions given in Wiki's Style page am relocating my earlier suggested changes here, based on feedback from Cooker ML that this content needs reworking.

A high level schematic of the Bug Triage process follows. It is in three layers showing at the top that bugs begin as status UNCONFIRMED. They must pass through the second layer triage process before entering the third and last layer where all bugs have a RESOLVED status. Within the second layer is a two-step process in which the bug triage team resolves all incoming bugs to the extent possible. The goal of the triage teams is ensuring the most critical, highest priority, severest and valid bugs are queued up first for Developers and Package Maintainers to resolve.
