Bugzilla Wishlist

The version of Bugzilla used by Mandriva is a fork of the original version, maintained by Warly. Here is a list of proposal, as he asked on the list http://archives.mandrivalinux.com/cooker/2004-11/msg00429.php :

Features Status
Xml-rpc interface, to query the database easily. This is a patch made by redhat.
To be able to be in automatic CC for some packages, in order to receive the same message as maintener.
Closing the bugs on upload, with a changelog message ( ie Close #XXX change the state of bug number XXX ).
Being able to Own bugs still in the UNCONFIRMED status.
Using one product per SRPM instead of one product per RPM.
The ability to precise that the bug exist also in others releases.
Sending all bugs to Cooker, even those on stable release (see the list archive http://archives.mandrivalinux.com/cooker/2004-11/msg01109.php). In fact, if sending all bugs to Cooker generates too much "Out Of Topic" mail, maybe we could create a new "bugzilla-stablereleases" mailing list for those who want to follow the bugs. The point is : the more people will see bug reports, the more they can help to solve/precise/confirm them. That can be good for bug responsiveness, and save some work to packages maintainers. Being able to report bug for more than one distribution
To be able to change the distribution field of the bug
