It enables you to register your systems, create generic mandriva account and alter the settings by which Mandriva Online interact with your systems. After registration, your systems can use the applet or the daemon to retrieve the latest updates from Mandriva.

You must be root ro run the Mandriva Online wizard. You will be prompted to enter root password before proceeding, if started as standard user. The wizard can be started using one of the following methods:

  • on the KDE, GNOME, IceWM desktop, go to Configuration -> Other -> Discover custom services
  • at the shell prompt type mdkonline

If you have followed and finished all the steps in the first boot wizard in 2006.0 and above distribution, your mandriva account and host registration are already set. Launch a browser and login into your account at https://www.mandrivaonline.com and check your settings.
