The HP Pavilion tx1000 series of PC's is a very technologically advanced and stylish looking mobile computing platform. As sold by HP they have only one weakness....Windows Vista (and 32 bit at that). So you have decided to buy one of these. Good choice. You want to put Mandriva Linux on it. Well that can be initially tricky. Mandriva installs and is very useable but the bells and whistles on some of these notebooks will not work. If you follow the stock installation of Mandriva on this series of PC's here is a list of things that do not work out of the box.
