Docs/Support/Resources
From Mandriva Community Wiki
There are several resources for getting help with Mandriva Linux. The most important ones are listed below.

[edit] Official Mandriva Support on the web
Mandriva Expert is the official web site where Mandriva gives support.
Mandriva Expert is a web-based forum where anyone can open an incident and receive free support from the community. If you have bought a box, or if you buy support from the Mandriva Store, you will also receive support from the Mandriva staff. To purchase Units click on the Support & Services link on the left.
It is definitely worth searching the archived incidents.
[edit] Official Mandriva forums
Before posting on the official Mandriva forums, you must register for a free account with my.mandriva, if you do not already have one. There is no guarantee that requests for help here will be answered, but there is a large, friendly and expert community of users who will try and help you out, along with some Mandriva staff members. Please note the row of star-shaped flags on each forum page: these link to forums in various languages. There is probably a forum for whichever is your native language.
[edit] Official Mandriva support mailing lists
Mandriva provides two official support mailing lists, newbie (for new users) and expert (for more advanced topics). The Mailing lists page provides information on using these (and other) mailing lists.
[edit] Official Mandriva IRC channel
IRC is a long-standing system for real time multi-user chat via the Internet. Mandriva has an official IRC channel on the Freenode IRC network, where volunteers and sometimes Mandriva staff will try and help you with any problems you may have. Join the mandriva irc channel on the irc.freenode.net server, or use the nearest server from your location. For more information, please read the Freenode guide.
[edit] Newsgroups
USENET is a long-standing system for delayed multi-user message exchange via the Internet, similar to the more recently introduced web-based forums such as the official Mandriva forum discussed above. USENET newsgroups can be accessed via dedicated client applications. Several of these are available for Mandriva Linux, such as pan. For information on installing software to your Mandriva Linux system, see Installing and removing software. USENET newsgroups can also be accessed via a web front-end provided by Google. There is a Mandriva Linux-specific newsgroup:
