This page documents how to set up monitoring of network infrastructure (e.g. "is the router up", "what is the interface utilisation"), network services (e.g. "is the mail server accepting SMTP connections", and server infrastructure (e.g. "is there enough free disk space") aspects.

There are a number of monitoring tools and systems available in the distribution, and some that aren't (yet).
