    • General consensus against this:
      • rpm 4.5 work is already on it's good way with assistance from jbj working on merging all our patches with expert advice along
      • Moving to rpm 4.4.2.2 will lead to way more maintenance issues with it being mainly fedora focused and hard to influence. Usage of new features of jbj rpm in distro is also tight integrated in distro. In other words, whole distro will have to be adapted to rpm 4.4.2.2, not the other way around which is the case with rpm 4.5.
      • Nanar & Per Øyvind which is part of rpm5.org team is taking part in rpm & tool maintenance and will not continue do so with a switch leading to way more work for less people.
